30 villagers and police officials in the Indonesian island of Sumatra have recently managed to rescue a group of hunters who were trapped in a tree by tigers.

As previously reported, these hunters ended up being chased by the animals after they had accidentally killed on of their cubs.

The felines killed one of the men, a 28-year-old named David, and would have probably killed the rest of the hunting party had the latter not sought refuge in a nearby tree.

Mongabay reports that, to save the five men, villagers and police officials had to use chants and mantras to lure the predators away.

Despite the fact that they spent five days in a row up a tree, the hunters appear to be doing fine. However, it'll surely take a while before they dare venture into the forest again.
