Rolling Stones magazine published the suicide note of author Hunter S. Thompson, that is believed it was written just four days after his death, on February 16, and left for his wife Anita.
The message, in black marker ink and titled 'Football Season Is Over', said: "No More Games. No More bombs. No More Walking. No More Fun. No More Swimming. 67. That is 17 years past 50.
17 more than I needed or wanted. Boring. I am always bitchy. No Fun - for anybody. 67. You are getting Greedy. Act your old age. Relax - This won't hurt." Below this, Thompson drew a heart.
Biographer Douglas Brinkley, wrote that the February 16 note may be Thompson's final written words and tried to explain why Hunter chose that named for the note.
"February was always the cruelest month for Hunter S. Thompson. An avid NFL (National Football League) fan, Hunter traditionally embraced the Super Bowl in January as the high-water mark of his year. February, by contrast, was doldrums time."
