A new Humble Bundle is upon us and it brings a ton of new games for the Linux platform that haven't been seen before.

This new collection of games has a simple name, Humble Indie Bundle 8. As the name suggests, this is all about Indie games and most of them have just made their debut on the Linux platform.

All of the games included in this collection can be redeemed on Steam, but not all of them are available on Steam for Linux. This will change in time, when the games will made available for the digital distribution platform from Valve.

As usual, a few of the games can be purchased with a minimum price of $1 or €0.78 (Little Inferno, Awesomenauts, Capsized, Thomas Was Alone, and Dear Ester).

The other two titles in the Humble Indie Bundle 8 can only be acquired if the users pay more than the average price for the package. Bought separately, the games would cost a little over 90$ (€70).

Little Inferno is a puzzle game, developed by the Tomorrow Corporation, in which the players get the chance to channel their inner pyromania.

Awesomenauts is a 3 vs. 3 multiplayer action platformer. Players will have to attack their opponents and their turrets, and defend their bases against enemy attacks.

Capsized is a 2-D platformer filled with colorful detailed landscapes and blood-thirsty monsters. It features a campaign mode with 12 missions and it even comes with an arcade mode.

Thomas Was Alone is an indie minimalist 2D platformer about friendship and jumping and floating and anti-gravity. Or at least this is what the developer, Mike Bithell is telling us.

Dear Esther is an experimental first-person adventure driven by a narrative. It's not your average first-person game and Dear Esther managed to garner a lot prizes for its innovative techniques.

Proteus is a game of audio-visual exploration and discovery that has you wandering an exotic, mysterious island.

Hotline Miami is an action game that relies on hard-boiled gunplay. It’s built on a 2D engine, but it features over 1,000 different sprites and benefits from a story than spans over more than 20 levels.
