The latest Humble Indie Bundle 12 brings no less than 10 new games for the Linux platform, but it's also one of the most expensive collections made available so far.

Usually, the Humble Bundle collections also feature Linux versions for the games that are included, but that's not a given. Some of the bundles put up for sale don't have any Linux games at all, whereas others include just a few.

The new Humble Indie Bundle 12 is one of those that are 100% Linux-compatible, and this is great news for the potential players, but it's also a little bit more expensive than what you might expect.

Pay what you want, get more than you think

All the Humble Bundle collections are sold by a pay-what-you-want model. That means that users get to choose what they want to pay for the collection, but there are usually a couple of restrictions. If you pay below the average, you won't get access to the second tier, which usually has the most expensive games. Also, users need to pay above 1$ (€0.77) if they want to get a Steam key for their games.

As you would expect, most people pay above the average price and the Linux users always pay more, on average, than the other two supported platforms, Windows and Mac OS X.

Humble Indie Bundle 12 has been out for a few days already, but now it just got an infusion of new games and all of them are fun to play and to have in your Steam collection.

What the games in Humble Indie Bundle 12 are

"Glory to the Humble Indie Bundle! Waiting in line all day at the border, grasping papers and wallet in hand. You knew this day would come at long last, a return to the homeland and where it all began. Pay what you want for SteamWorld Dig, Hammerwatch and Gunpoint. If you pay more than the average price, you'll also get Papers, Please, Gone Home, LUFTRAUSERS, The Bridge, Monaco: What's Yours Is Mine and Race the Sun. Those who pay $10 or more will receive all of the above, plus early access to Prison Architect," reads the official announcement.

One of the most interesting aspects of Humble Indie Bundle 12 is the fact that it provides some physical items as well, like a special issue of HIB Informer Magazine, 30 pages of tips and tricks, a HIB 12 Super Shirt and a set of pins with the Humble Bundle logo and Arstotzka Crest to match, the HIB 12 EP on a vinyl disk, and even a 3.5-inch HIB 12 Shareware floppy disk. As you can imagine, this latest tier of the Humble Indie Bundle 12 is quite expensive and it will set you back 65$ (€50), although it's totally worth it.

The Humble Indie Bundle 12 will be available for an additional six days.
