If there was ever a competition to find out the most determined man to turn himself into a real-life Ken Doll through plastic surgery, Rodrigo Alves would win it, hands down. The 31-year-old man from London has spent more money on plastic surgery than 2 other famous Ken Dolls combined, Justin Jedlica and Celso Santebanes.

He has no plans of stopping anytime soon either, he tells the Daily Mail, just days after undergoing a massive, 6-in-1 surgical intervention in Colombia. It was necessary to travel there because no doctor in the UK would operate on him anymore.

A fortune spent on being plastic

Just last week, Jedlica came forward with his own story that made a sensation online, after he admitted he willingly ran the risk of becoming blind just to have his forehead vein removed, because it bothered to see it swell a la Julia Roberts whenever he laughed or spoke more passionately.

Now, Alves is in the running for the most plastic of the existing plastic real-life Ken Dolls: he’s had over 30 procedures since 2004, and has spent £175,000 ($266,113 / €234,399) to attain what he calls the “perfect” look. Beauty lies in symmetry, so he vouches he won’t stop until he has achieved it.

Until the other day, Alves had had 3 nose jobs, Botox and fillers regularly, abdomen and calf implants, and liposuction. In Colombia, he got a 6-in-1 procedure that fixed everything from his droopy eyes, to his crooked toes, his nose (with his fourth nose job, where doctors used cartilage from his ear to fix the tip of the nose, which had been damaged by fillers), and his wrinkles.

For that last one, fat he had gained on purpose was mixed with his own blood and then transferred into his face, to give it a more plump aspect and thus banish all signs of the passage of time. Some might argue that, at 31, you can’t possibly have actual wrinkles but rather more like expression lines, but Alves isn’t playing.

Also now, he had doctors cut into his gum and lips, on the inside of his mouth, which will allow him to smile wider than before.

The dread of old age

Alves tells the British publication that he refuses to let his surgeries “define” who he is, yet ironically, they’re what made him famous. He got his first nose job in 2004, when he moved to London and he felt out of place among his new posh and good-looking friends.

He has been on a roll since, and he is determined not to stop anytime soon: beauty can be achieved through plastic surgery, and he will prove it. To be able to do that, he works hard as a flight attendant, event host and counselor.

“It’s a long process,” he says. “It is long-term maintenance. Once you start, it is difficult to stop. Naturally I’m a perfectionist. It’s like a snowball effect and I’m not going to stop.”

“It doesn't define the man that I am – I'm much more than silicone and cosmetic surgery – but once you get started it's difficult to stop. I'm quite hard on myself and I'm scared of getting old – that's the truth,” Alves adds.

As you can see in the Instagram shots below, Alves actually met Ken Doll number 1, Justin Jedlica. Isn’t that a sight to behold?
