14 DAY TRIAL // Valeria Lukyanova from Ukraine is the world’s most famous Human Barbie: she insists she only had plastic surgery on her chest, and that her outlandish, doll-like looks are a combination of excellent genes and even more excellent makeup skills.
In her years in the spotlight, she’s gathered a very numerous following, but she’s also attracted haters who believe she’s sending a very wrong message to women, by telling them that the kind of perfection she attained through plastic surgery is the type they should aspire to as well.
Two of these haters actually carried out their online threats – and waited for Valeria outside her apartment in Odessa on Halloween night, and beat her to a bloody pulp.
They were strangers and they jumped her without provocation
In a statement obtained by the Daily Mail, Valeria says she’s been hospitalized for the injuries she sustained since Friday until today. The second photo in this gallery shows her with bandages around her head; the British tab has more photos, showing her with a swollen lip and eyes.
According to the Ukrainian model, she was returning home on Halloween night, when a couple of strangers came out of nowhere and started hitting her in the head. After a few blows, they proceeded to strangle her – and she believes she might have been dead right now had it not been for a neighbor who happened to come by, and scared them away.
“They said nothing and did not try to rob me. It happened in a flash, they hit me on the head, several times on my jaw, then one of them began strangling me,” Valeria says.
She was rushed to the hospital where she received treatment for the injuries. Valeria claims she’s been on painkillers ever since, and though the pain is less severe these days, she still experiments quite a lot for it to be tolerable.
Fighting off rumors of plastic surgery
Because Valerie is sporting so many bandages and there is only her statement that she was attacked by “strangers,” many of those who don’t believe her when she says she’s all natural suspect she might have gone under the knife again – and is trying to cover it up by inventing this attack story.
She would never do that, she insists for the same media outlet. Like before, Valeria sticks to her story: she only had work done on her breasts because she lost a lot of weight and she wanted a bit more volume in the upper part of her body.
As for the difference between how she looks now and the way she used to look before, she chalks it up to weight loss, different styling and lots of makeup.
Off the record, Valeria is said to have had anything from a procedure to remove ribs to make her waistline smaller, to one meant to make her eyes wider, but also cheek implants, jawline shaved, fillers and Botox, the works.
No word yet if the alleged beating was reported to the police so, until we get confirmation that it was, chances of this being just a cover-up for plastic surgery are 50/50.
