The Hulu Plus streaming service is now available on even more Android-based devices than before, as it has just added support for the new VIZIO 8" Tablet with WiFi. The mobile application will offer users of the VIZIO 8" Tablet the possibility to access an extensive library of TV and film content from a wide range of providers and independent creators.

The Hulu Plus service is subscription-based, and those who would like to enjoy it on the VIZIO Tablet will have to pay $7.99 per month for it.

“Allowing users to find and enjoy premium content on their own schedule, the Hulu Plus subscription service complements VIZIO's mission to bring high-quality technology and "Entertainment Freedom" to consumers at an extraordinary value,” the company notes.

The subscription service will provide users with access to new and past seasons of various shows, including 30 Rock, Modern Family, The X-Files, Arrested Development and Family Guy.

VIZIO's tablet PC was made available for purchase last week with a price tag of $299 attached to it.

The device comes with a series of unique features included into the mix, such as the three-speaker configuration that will provide users with a great audio experience both when in landscape and in portrait mode.

Moreover, the device comes with a universal remote app that will enable home theater control, as well as with an HDMI port through which users will enjoy HD playback on the big screen of a TV.

The features and capabilities of VIZIO Tablet are expanded with the addition of Hulu Plus, turning the device into one of the most affordable media centric Android tablets on the market.

“The VIZIO Tablet was designed to provide a world class Internet content experience and we are proud to be one of the first Android-powered tablets to support Hulu Plus,” said Matt McRae, chief technology officer, VIZIO.

“VIZIO is committed to delivering innovative products to consumers that break new ground, deliver new services and address gaps in the industry.”
