Hulu’s premium service has just been updated to support Android tablets. Until recently, this service was only available for Android smartphones and two tablets, HTC Flyer and Vizio 8.

However, the latest update of the application comes with a completely redesigned user interface for easier navigation, as well as support for more Android tablets that run Honeycomb platform and above.

Unfortunately, not all Android slates are supported for the moment. In fact Hulu added support for seven more tablets: Asus Eee Pad Transformer, Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime, Motorola XOOM, Motorola XYBOARD 10.1, Toshiba Thrive, Acer Iconia, and LG G-Slate.

The new graphical changes added with this update improve the user experience with horizontal “trays,” allowing for naturally swiping while navigating through TV shows and movies.

Hulu Plus is now available as a free download via Google Play and it should be compatible with most Android smartphones, as well as the list of tablets listed above.
