Hulu Plus 2.6 iOS Adds On-Screen Captions, Subtitles

The free Hulu Plus application available to subscribers now offers support for subtitles in various languages, new social ties for sharing links, a 10-second rewind function, and more.

The development team at Hulu LLC has added support for on-screen captions and subtitles in English as well as other “select” languages, when available, according to the changelog. This addition is only available on iOS 4.3 and higher, said the company.

Other changes include the ability to share your shows and episodes with your friends on Facebook, Twitter, and via email. Hulu says, “No more printing out long URLs and paying for paper and expensive postage fees.”

A 10-second rewind is now available in the player, and several performance and stability improvements have been incorporated in this release as well.
