The idea isn't new by far but it's just funny as no other music gear manufacturer has thought of making this step. I repeat, as you first think about it, it simply looks like a small piece of dumb Flash but it simply rocks!

Hughes&Kettner is one huge name in the guitar/bass amplifier and easily rivals with other legendary brands such as Marshall or Peavey, just to name few. Now, what HK offers is a bit above nothing as the software world is full of chord dictionaries both freeware and sold for a couple of bucks. What's nice is the fact that this "just above nothing"-something is offered by the same manufacturer which has made your beloved amp.

The Hughes & Kettner Chord Finder can work as a Windows standalone application but what's even cooler is the fact that the same program is offered for mobile phones-platforms which means you get a proper chord dictionary on the go, wherever you are!

The HK software installs easily on any compatible phone running Java and gives you instant access to the many ways you can play your music. You might ask: why is the Hughes & Kettner such a handy tool? Because it displays more than one way to "catch" a given chord, from the basic ones down to power chords even! If you're not sure about how should one given chord sound like the HK software quickly offers you all the alternatives thus helping you decide faster. The mobile version even sports clean and overdrive sounds for the chords so you get direct audio feed right from your phone!

Since it's free and sports the Hughes & Kettner logo on it, the Chord Finder will be one neat addition to your HK-based home studio.
