Hugh Laurie appeared on the Colbert Report on Monday, August 5 to discuss his upcoming tour.

Laurie is best known as Dr. House in the famous TV series "House M.D." and very few people know that he is also an author and a musician.

According to him, his role as Dr. Gregory House is haunting him, but the artist has been very successful musically. His last blues album, "Let them talk," sold a million copies and went triple Platinum in the UK.

His next album will be called "Didn’t It Rain" and Laurie will be singing with the House "American accent." The album is currently available and Laurie will be touring across the US in the following month.

If that doesn't work out, he admits taking prescription pads from the "House M.D." set.

"I suppose I was thinking, 'Charming memento.' But, as you say, [it] could come in handy if things go south," he says.
