Actor Hugh Jackman can’t seem to catch a lucky break: after a less than stellar landing on Oprah’s recent show, the actor played a game of cricket with Shane Warne and got hit with a ball right below the belt – and it was all captured on video.
We also informed you at the time that Jackman decided to make a grand entrance on Oprah’s show in Australia and ziplined to the stage – but miscalculated and hit a stage prop with his head.
As if that wasn’t enough, at the recent cricket game, he also got hit, this time in a more delicate part of his body, as the video below will confirms.
Luckily, JustJared says, Jackman was wearing protective gear – which is probably also why he managed to laugh the incident off.
“Hugh Jackman readies hit bat while playing cricket during day one of the Fourth Test match between Australia and England at Melbourne Cricket Ground on Sunday (December 26) in Melbourne, Australia,” JustJared says in a post to a photo of the actor swinging a bat.
“While taping a TV segment for Channel 9’s Australian broadcast of The Ashes Test cricket series, the 42-year-old actor received a pitched from a fellow Aussie, pro cricket player Shane Warne,” the e-zine writes.
“As luck would have it, the Wolverine star got hit in the groin! Thankfully Hugh was wearing protective gear!” the same e-zine notes.
Hugh handled the incident in his usual manner, laughing heartily and nearly shrugging it off, as Shane joked he shouldn’t “shake ‘em [but] count ‘em.”
Aside from showing what a wonderful guy Hugh is, the video below also makes it very obvious that the actor is already packing on muscle mass for his upcoming role in “Wolverine 2.”
For the part, he’s been told he should get about 25 pounds heavier, in muscle mass only, as we also informed you a while back. So far, he seems right on track.
