The long feud between celebrities and photographers is not new and it will last for a long time from now on, too. Especially as the paparazzi tend to get more and more prying by the day, while stars are increasingly reticent at having their private lives exposed for profit.
Every once in a while, the feud gets literally physical, with the more famous people starting to assault the paparazzi and/or damaging their cameras. On other occasions, it's the snappers those who provoke the stars... Either way, in most cases, both parties end up in court or in jail, but a (financial) settlement is almost always reached and they are friends again.
The latest episode from the ongoing epic is that involving the British actor Hugh Grant, whose past clearly tells that he doesn't appreciate that much attention from the media. Two days ago, he was in London when he noticed that a celebrity photographer was busily taking pictures of him.
The snapper says that he just saw that Hugh was coming his way and, before he could tell what was happening, he felt the camera being pulled from his hands and heard it smash on the ground. After that, Bradley Case claims, Grant started to slap him hard across the face, while yelling: 'You're nothing but a stupid t***. if you don't f*** off, I'm gonna cut your b***s off'.
Case, the paparazzo, will press charges against the actor, suing him for physical assault and damage of a private property.
