A lot happened on the domain name marketplace last week. Sedo and other domain name marketplaces continue to turn big profit month by month. Last week's crown jewel was the Call.com domain name, which Live Current Media was able to sell on Sedo to an undisclosed buyer for about $1.1 million.

This domain has seen a lot of action on the domain marketplace, this not being the first time it was sold by Live Current. Back in the day, when Live Current was known as Communicate.com, the Call.com domain name was sold in a mammoth transaction alongside Exercise.com, Automobile.com and Makeup.com. That deal also included some annual royalties for Communicate.com, that were sized about 250,000 dollars.

In 2006, the deal changed, and Communicate.com got the Call.com domain name back, after dropping the annual royalties. Earlier this year, after several financial troubles in a cricket-related contract, Call.com was again put up for grabs, after the company received in 2008 an offer for 6 million dollars that it turned down. This time around, Live Current didn't get the money it hoped and the domain name sold for $1.25 million.

After receiving $350,000, the initial buyer backed down, and Call.com returned yet again to Live Current. Considering the latest sell, in the end, Live Current sold the Call.com domain name for $1,200,000 in pure profit.

Alongside Call.com, last week's deal included another premium domain name: Brazil.com that was acquired for $500,000. In addition, to top Live Current's perfect week on the marketplace, the Cricket.com domain name sold to GCV Mauritius for 1 million dollars, plus multiple royalties and bonuses ranging around $750,000. The deal also included a 10-year, $50 million contract with the DLF Indian Premier League (national cricket federation).

Other notable sales were Editor.com for $225,000, Games.eu for $67,500, Alternate.com for $90,000 and Zookie.com for $25,000.
