Huawei to Announce Windows Phone 8 Smartphone Next Week

Chinese mobile phone maker Huawei is expected to officially introduce its first Windows Phone 8 device as soon as next week, on September 25th.

Supposedly headed to the market as Huawei Ascend W1, the new smartphone is expected to be unveiled in a variety of color options, including black, white, blue, and pink.

According to winp.cn (via WMPoweruser), the smartphone will sport a design different than that of the Android-based Huawei Ascend P1/D1, yet specific info on the matter is not available as of now.

Huawei’s Windows Phone 8 handset is expected to arrive on shelves in Europe, China and the United States, and should be released in starting with the November – December timeframe.

In addition to Huawei, handset vendors such as HTC, Nokia, Samsung and ZTE are also expected to launch Windows Phone 8 smartphones in Q4 this year.
