Chinese handset maker Huawei has just released an affordable Android phone, the T8830. The smartphone is only available via China Mobile carrier and will probably never be released outside the Mainland.

According to UnwiredView, the smartphone comes with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system out of the box and a dual-core MediaTek MT6517 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz.

It also sports a decent 4.0-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 800 pixels resolution, and features Corning Gorilla Glass coating.

In addition, the Huawei T8830 features 512MB of RAM and a 3.2-megapixel rear photo snapper with video recording.

All these come at an affordable $100/€80 price. Although this is a pretty low price for an Android phone, the T8830 will surely have a fierce competition on the Chinese market coming from other smaller handset makers which only sell their products in the Mainland.
