Affordable slider for all ages

Huawei T330 is one of the latest affordable mobile phones to pass the FCC tests, hence being ready for the US market. The device comes in a slider form factor and, when closed, it kind of looks like a PC mouse with a screen and a four-way navigation key. When slided, T330 unveils a user-friendly keypad with large keys, which makes the handset suitable for users of all ages, from 5 to over 80 years old.

At first, the phone's name made me think about Sony Ericsson T303, another entry level slider, but this one looks "a bit" better. Not that Huawei T330 looks bad, but its aspect is obviously one of an affordable handset, while the SE T303 could pass as being a mid-end device (assuming you don't know its features, which are kind of disappointing).

FCC didn't unveil too many specs about the new Huawei T330, but we do know that the handset comes with dual-band GSM connectivity and FM Radio for listening to your favorite music stations. Of course, there's also a headset jack, and you won't have to buy a new headset, as the phone includes one in the package. Furthermore, T330 packs a pretty small display and has no photo camera.

Up until now there are no details regarding Huawei T330's availability, but since it passed the mighty FCC, it can hit the market at any time.

There are no pricing details either. However, if the phone is offered by any of the major American carriers, it will probably cost you absolutely nothing when coming with a contract agreement. Or, if bought without any obligations to any carrier, the Huawei T330 mouse-phone should cost about 100 bucks, which is a fair price if all you want from a mobile phone is being, well, just a mobile phone.
