Chinese mobile phone maker Huawei is getting ready for the launch of a new Android-based smartphone, the Ascend P6, and has teased it in a new series of photos.

The new images were posted on the company’s Facebook page, and show more of the handset’s body, which is said to be one of the thinnest ever in the Android ecosystem.

Furthermore, it will arrive on shelves with a metallic case, while expected to run under the latest Android platform release out there.

“Huawei Ascend P6 slimming design has partnered with its just-as-slimming metallic case, made with the utmost care in quality and detail,” the handset vendor notes.

As PhoneArena notes, Ascend P6 is set to become official as soon as tomorrow, during a press event that will kick off at 9am Eastern Time. More details on the device will be available at that time, so stay tuned.
