Chinese mobile phone manufacturer
Huawei has unveiled several very interesting concept phones at CeBIT 2007 in Hanover, Germany.
While there's no telling whether we'll ever get to see them manufactured, it's nice to be able to see what designers can come up with.
One of them comes with quite an interesting design and replaces an USB connector altogether, since it has such a connector built-in allowing the phone to be used without the need of an adapter or cable.
The USB adapter the concept phone includes is made out of flexible rubber that can be bent and will allow connecting the handset directly to a PC for data transmission and charging. Huawei's second
concept phone comes with an external battery, aiming to solve a problem every person has come across at least once while using a mobile phone, which is running out of juice exactly when you need your phone the most.
The battery connects via USB and can be replaced whenever it is needed. It even manages to be stylish, coming in different colors and textured to match the clothes you're wearing. Last but not least, Huawei has also come up with a mobile phone with a Bluetooth headset that can be separated from the phone and used independently at any time.
Among other uses, the headset will also work for tracking the phone by using Bluetooth connectivity. The concept phones might look pretty and appear to be useful, but
Huawei hasn't revealed if it's in fact intending to produce such phones. Maybe in the future we'll get to see these devices as actual products, but then again, even if they are released, they'll probably be available only in Asia.
