Chinese mobile phone maker Huawei is reportedly gearing up for the release of a new version of the Huawei Ascend P7 smartphone, one that should feature a sapphire display.

The handset has been already showed by Huawei Device Chairman and Consumer BG CEO Yu Chengdong, during an interview with 21st Century Business Herald.

Apparently, the handset vendor is getting ready for the release of some shocking products moving forth, and the aforementioned Ascend P7 model should be one of them.

What hasn’t been revealed, however, is whether the upcoming phone will be marketed as an Ascend P7 variant or as a brand new device.

It seems that Huawei is also planning on expanding its e-commerce business, in order to open new e-commerce channels, which should enable it to increase its market presence in western countries, as gforgames notes.

Moving forth, Huawei will also try to increase the awareness in its brand, as the company is not planning on making a quick profit in the mobile industry, but it is here for the long run.

The Chinese mobile phone maker has already managed to become one of the top handset vendors out there, but only time will tell whether it will be able to keep up with other large industry players or not.
