I have been telling you that Huawei is gearing up to launch the Mediapad X1 tablet, the so-called iPad mini killer, at MWC in Barcelona.

The device leaked in the news before and now some pictures showing the gadget in full splendor have appeared online, ahead of the official launch in Barcelona.

The photos have appeared on Chinese social website Weibo (via Gizchina) and detail a 7-inch tablet with an HD resolution (1920 x 1200 pixels), drawing power from a 1.6GHz quad-core (HiSilicon 910 Kirin) processor combined with 2GB of RAM.

Other highlights of the tablet include two capable cameras (13MP on the back and 5MP in front), a 6000 mAh battery and an option between 16GB or 32GB of internal memory.

The pictures show the device sports an alloy body and also details the phone app, showing the tablet could prove to be a worthy smartphone-replacement.
