Unveiled back in August, Huawei's Android tablet has just been officially introduced in the UK, along with the Huawei Vision mid-budget smartphone.

The Chinese handset maker plans to launch the Vision smartphone sometime in December, while the MediaPad tablet is scheduled for Q1 2012.

Potential customers will be able to grab the Huawei Vision starting next month for free via Phones4U for a £25 (40 USD or 29 EUR) monthly plan.

The Wi-Fi version of the Huawei MediaPad will be available early next year for £275 (440 USD or 320 EUR) plus VAT, which seems a bit overpriced for a 7-incher.

The MediPad will not be delivered with the latest Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, instead it will run Android 3.2 Honeycomb platform.

Huawei has yet to announce any Ice Cream Sandwich upgrading plans, if any. Given the fact that the Chinese company focuses on entry- and mid-end smartphones, it is highly unlikely to announce any Ice Cream Sandwich updates for any of its current products.

Huawei MediaPad is one of the smaller Android tablets. It measures 109 x 124 x 10.5mm and weighs 390g (battery included).

The slate is equipped with an 1.2 GHz dual core processor and packs 8 GB of storage, 1 GB of RAM and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

In addition, it offers dual cameras, a main 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back, as well as a 1.3-megapixel front facing camera for video calls.

The second device announced for UK is the Huawei Vision, which will be delivered with Android 2.3 Gingerbread on board along with 3D carousel user interface on top.

The phone is powered by a 1 GHz Qualcomm MSM8255-1 processor and embeds 512 MB of RAM, 2GB of ROM and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

It comes with a 3.7-inch capacitive touchscreen display, a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash, as well as Wi-Fi and A-GPS.
