The new tablet was introduced a few months ago in Barcelona

Back at MWC 2014, Huawei introduced the MediaPad M1 tablet, but back then we told you the slate will arrive in markets across Europe, Russian, China, Japan, Australia and Latin America.

There was no word about the tablet making its wait to the US, but by the looks of it, American customers will be able to pick it up too. The slate has just been sported going through the FCC this week, a clear indication the product will arrive in the US, reports TabletGuide.

The tablet has a 1280 x 800 pixel Huawei SWS display, which isn't as impressive as the full HD screen you’ll be seeing in the company’s other newly introduced slate, the MediaPad X1.

The device draws power from a 1.6GHz quad-core processor (HiSilicon 910 Kirin), has a sensible 4800 mAh battery, dual front-facing speakers, dual cameras (5MP on the back and 1MP in front), plus Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

What sets it apart from other tablets out there is the MediaPad M1’s compatibility with next-gen LTE networks (including LTE Cat4 which supports download speeds up to 150Mbps).

Furthermore, the tablet comes bundling the AirSharing technology, enabling users to share their screen and transfer images via cloud photo sharing.

If you were hoping to see Android 4.4 KitKat on the MediaPad M1, I’m going to disappoint you here and say the tablet runs on Huawei’s own Emotion UI 2.0 based on Android 4.2. The tablet should be priced around $299 / €216.
