The slate is expected to go on sale by the end of the month

Chinese company Huawei officially introduced the MediaPad 7 Lite tablet back in July, but the tablet has yet to be rolled out globally.

However, Android fans in India will be happy to know Huawei MediaPad 7 Lite is now available for pre-order via major retailer Flipkart.

Customers who wish to purchase this tablet with GSM support will have to come up with Rs 13700 (255 USD or 195 EUR) upfront.

Although there's no word on the exact release date of the tablet, word is the MediaPad 7 Lite will go on sale by the end of the month.

Huawei MediaPad 7 Lite is powered by Google's Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system out of the box. There's no word on Jelly Bean for this tablet yet, but Huawei might offer it anyway, so stay tuned for more updates on this one.

On the inside, the slate is equipped with a single core processor clocked at 1.2 Ghz built on Cortex-A8 architecture, which is complemented by 1GB of RAM and 8GB of ROM, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD memory card.

As the name suggests, the tablet sports a 7-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports 600 x 1024 pixels resolution and 262k colors.

Huawei MediaPad 7 Lite comes with full GSM support, which means users will be able to take and make voice calls. Moreover, the slate packs a 0.3-megapixel front facing for video calls.

On the back, the 7-incher features a 3.2-megapixel photo snapper. When it comes to connectivity, the MediaPad 7 Lite offers both 3G and Wi-Fi, as well as Bluetooth and GPS with A-GPS support.

The MediaPad 7 Lite is delivered with a 4100 mAh Li-Ion battery inside, which has yet to be rated by the manufacturer. More info on the slate's availability of the slate.
