Three new Android smartphones have just been introduced by Chinese manufacturer Huawei in Singapore, the Ideos X3, X6 and Boulder.

While two of the handsets are aiming at the entry-level market, the Huawei Ideos X6 targets mid- to high-end smartphone users.

Huawei Ideos X3 was officially introduced earlier this year during the 2011 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

Also known as Huawei U8510, the Ideos X3 is powered by a Qualcomm MSM7227 600 MHz processor and runs Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) platform.

The phone packs 512 MB RAM, microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB), as well as HSDPA and HSUPA support.

It comes with a rather small size 3.2-inch capacitive multi-touch screen with 16 million colors support and 320 x 480 pixels resolution.

Other highlights of the phone include an average 3-megapixel camera with autofocus, integrated GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n connectivity and Wi-Fi hotspot support.

Huawei Ideos X3 is expected to be available for purchase on June 15 for S$299 (about $240).

The second handset announced by the Chinese company is the Huawei Boulder.

The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm MSM7225 528 MHz processor and runs Android 2.2 Froyo platform.

The phone features a Blackberry-esque form factor and comes with a full portrait QWERTY keyboard.

The Boulder should be available for purchase sometime in June for the same amount as the Ideos X3, S$299 (about $240).

Huawei Ideos X6 is the most advanced of the three and sports a Qualcomm MSM8255 Snapdragon 1GHz processor, complemented by an Adreno 205 GPU.

The phone packs 2 GB of internal memory, 512 MB RAM, 2 GB ROM, as well as microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

HSDPA (14.4 Mbps), HSUPA (5.76 Mbps), Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP are among the phone's connectivity options.

The smartphone is powered by Android 2.2 Froyo and comes with a large 4.1-inch capacitive touchscreen with 16 million colors and 480 x 800 pixels resolution.

Huawei Ideos X6 is expected to hit stores towards the end of June for S$499 ($400).
