Leading telecoms solutions provider Huawei came to the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona this year with a nice range of new products, including a brand new Android-based smartphone, the Huawei IDEOS X3, and a tablet PC, the Huawei IDEOS S7 Slim.

The Huawei IDEOS X3 includes both great hardware and high-performing software that would provide users with a better experience while on the go.

The mobile phone arrives on shelves with a 3.2-inch capacitive HVGA touchscreen display, along with a 3.2 megapixel photo snapper on the back, packed inside a ultra-slim body.

Moreover, the smartphone runs under Google's new Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, on which users would enjoy a refined UI, fast syncing with various social networking sites, and more.

The Huawei Handset Over-the-Air and Online Upgrade (HOTA) solution for Android was added into the mix as well, providing users with easy and timely OS upgrades, the company notes.

At the same time, Huawei explains that the new IDEOS X3 includes a series of applications that would offer easy management of information.

“The IDEOS range and our latest mobile broadband solutions are intuitive, simple to use products that offer users an enhanced mobile experience integrated seamlessly across different wireless technologies,” said Mr. Victor Xu, chief marketing officer of Huawei Device.

“As we move into 2011, Huawei will continue to lead the drive to provide consumers with smart mobile connectivity at the right price.”

The Huawei IDEOS X3 is expected to become available for purchase starting with Spring 2011. It would first land in Japan via SOFTBANK MOBILE Corp., while being set to become available on other markets too soon after. The phone would be priced under USD $200.

As for the Huawei IDEOS S7 Slim, the company plans on launching it with a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen display on board, HD video (720p) recording capabilities, 3G, WiFi 11-N and Bluetooth connectivity options, and Google's Android 2.2 OS.

This next-generation 7-inch tablet PC should arrive on shelves in April 2011, featuring a price tag of under USD $300.
