Huawei Honor 7's specifications leaked about two months ago, while news about a high-end version that would be released as Honor 7 Plus emerged earlier this month.

However, it looks like the Chinese company has done some changes and we might not see a Huawei Honor smartphone with Quad HD display after all.

Even though the initial rumors pointed to a Honor 7 Plus with 5.5-inch Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution, the latest information coming from China claims otherwise.

Probably due to the fact that Huawei will be launching a Nexus device later this year, the Chinese company doesn't want to compete with one of its own smartphones.

Anyway, according to a new report, both Huawei Honor 7 smartphones will sport 5-inch capacitive touchscreen display with full HD (1080p) resolution.

Both smartphones will be launched this summer

The only difference between Huawei Honor 7 and honor 7 Plus will be the amount of RAM and storage, while the rest of the specs will be similar.

On the positive side, both will be made of aricraft grade metal, which will most certainly give them a premium look.

Furthermore, they will be equipped with Huawei's proprietary Kirin 935 chipset, but the standard model will pack 3GB of RAM, while the high-end version will come with no less than 4GB of RAM onboard.

On the inside, Huawei Honor 7 will pack 16GB of internal memory, while the Plus model should be equipped with 128GB of storage.

Both smartphones will feature 13-megapixel cameras on the back with autofocus, LED flash, optical image stabilization and video recording, as well as 3,280 mAh batteries. No word on the front facing camera and microSD card slot.

We also know that Huawei Honor 7 and Honor 7 Plus will ship with Android 5.0 Lollipop onboard and Emotion UI 3.0 on top. They will be available in June and July, respectively, for $320 and $435 outright.
