Huawei is prepping a new flagship device, to be coming soon

Huawei has just finished hosting a big press event this week, during which we have seen the P8 and P8 Max flagships arrive into the sunlight.

But it appears that the company is also preparing to release a sequel to the popular Honor 6 handset, which launched last year and proved to be one of the best value-for-money phones available out there.

As the folks over at Giz China reveal today, Huawei is hard at work preparing the Honor 7 and Honor 7 Plus, and a bunch of live images detailing the handsets have made their way into the wild.

Huawei is not done releasing flagships this year

From the pictures, it becomes quite evident that the Honor 7 will be made of metal and maybe sport a larger screen too, compared to that of the Honor 6, which was a 5-inch IPS LCD capacitive display.

Another important aspect to be pointed out is that the phone will most likely have a fingerprint sensor located on the back. At first glance, one might easily mistake the upcoming Honor 7 with the successor of the Mate 7, but the Honor imprint on the back gives its identity away.

It must be noted that the Mate 7 also has a fingerprint on the back, but the freshly revealed P8 doesn't.

The rear view also shows the camera sensor complete with the dual LED flash besides it. Apart from this, we’re also given a few details about the specifications to be found on board the new phone. Apparently, the Honor 7 should arrive with a 5.5-inch FHD display, just like the Honor 6 Plus.

Under the hood, Huawei will probably slip one of its own Kirin 930 / 935 chips working in concert with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. It also runs Android 5.0 Lollipop with Huawei’s own EMUI plastered on top.

The Honor 7 Plus might have leaked as well

Gizmo China also stumbled upon another set of photos purportedly showing the Honor 7 Plus, which doesn't seem to have a fingerprint scanner on the back. However, the phone seems to retain the same dual camera sensor we saw on the Honor 6 Plus.

At the moment, we don’t have any confirmation that we’re dealing with the real Honor 7 or Honor 7 Plus, so take the information above with a grain of salt.
