Yesterday we talked a little bit about Huawei’s upcoming Honor 6 Plus high-end smartphone, which is expected to arrive on the market with a dual camera.

This means users of this device will be able to capture 3D videos and take advantage of a refocus feature. We already shared a few captions showing you how these functionalities will translate into photography, but if you missed them, you can follow this link and check the samples out.

At this point you are probably already wondering how the Huawei Honor 6 Plus camera will stack up against competing products such as the HTC One (M8), iPhone 6 Plus or Samsung Galaxy S5, right?

A few days ahead of launch, the first alleged samples from the Huawei Honor 6 camera already emerged online via Chinese social media, showing us what the Huawei Honor 6 Plus camera is all about and comparing it to other flagship phones.

You can check out the new sample shots in the gallery and compare them against similar captions taken with the iPhone 6 Plus, HTC One (M8) and Samsung Galaxy S5.

Since the Honor 6 Plus dual camera is expected to function much like the Duo Camera on the HTC One (M8), it’s interesting to see the comparison.

Anyway, Huawei’s next flagship device is expected to drop on December 16. The device is already offered for pre-order on Oppomart for $399 / €322 and we can already check out the product in the first official image.

Huawei Honor 6 Plus spec roundup

Now, if you missed the rumors regarding the Honor 6 Plus, we’re taking the opportunity to remind you that the handset is expected to arrive with a 5.5-inch full HD form factor (1080p) capacitive touchscreen display and will take advantage of an octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz and fitted with 3GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD card to 64GB).

The Honor 6 Plus will arrive with Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box, although we’re pretty sure most of you would have hoped for Android 5.0 Lollipop. Although this doesn't mean that an update won’t arrive at some point, at this point we just have no clue when that will happen.

Anyway, without the shadow of doubt, the Honor 6 Plus’ selling point is the dual camera technology, which allows users to refocus a shot after they have taken it.

In a few days the smartphone will be made official and all the details will become available, but if you want to place a pre-order for it, you are free to do so now.
