Android fans in Malaysia will be pleased to know that Huawei has just released another cheap smartphone in their country, the amazingly popular Honor 3C. The smartphone has seen tremendous success in China given its low price and great hardware configuration.

Beginning today, Malaysian customers will be able to purchase the Huawei Honor 3C for only RM499 outright, which is about $155 or €110, Soyacincau reports.

Huawei Honor 3C will have tough competitors on the Malaysian market, as Xiaomi has just announced that it will start focusing on this particular region, while other companies have already launched their affordable smartphones, like Motorola Moto G and Asus Zenfone.

However, Huawei seems to have thought of this and has launched the 2GB model in Malaysia. The Huawei Honor 3C 2GB version made its debut in China back in January, but it was exclusively available in this country.

The international version of Honor 3C comes with only 1GB of RAM inside, so Malaysian customers should be happy that they will get a more powerful smartphone.

Moreover, Huawei Honor 3C offers dual-SIM capability, which is one of the most requested features in emerging markets like Malaysia, Indonesia and India, but also in China.

Unlike some Chinese smartphones in the same price range, the Honor 3C also provides users the option to further expand storage via microSD memory card.

The smartphone also offers 8GB of internal memory by default, but actual storage is much smaller, which is why owners might want to add a memory card as soon as possible.

The processor inside is a MediaTek MT6582 quad-core clocked at 1.3GHz, which seems decent enough for a mid-range smartphone at this price.

Another strong point of the Honor 3C is the 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, which features a Sony BSI Sensor with f/2.0 aperture and 28mm lens, as well as LED flash, autofocus and full HD (1080p) video recording. In the front, there’s a no less impressive 5-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.

The only downside is the fact that it ships with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box, but given the more than decent specs sheet and low price, that can be overlooked.

The Honor 3C is available in multiple color options, including Pearl White, Titanium Grey, Champagne Gold, Lamborghini Yellow, Rococo Pink and Tiffany Green. It can be bought via Huawei VMall, as well as all major online retailers across the country.
