Ascend G730 won’t be the only new smartphone that Chinese vendor Huawei will make available for purchase in India in the near future, as the company is also planning the release of Huawei Ascend Y600 in the country.

The handset was made official earlier this month, but it appears that Huawei is not planning on wasting too much time before bringing it to shelves in the country.

The Huawei Ascend Y600 is expected to arrive on the market in India in the coming days with a price tag of Rs. 8999 ($150/€108) attached to it, though no specific info on when users might be able to purchase it has been provided as of now.

However, as fonearena notes, Huawei has already added the new mobile phone to its website in India, which means that an official release might come very soon.

In the meantime, those of you interested in the new device should know that it was made official with a 5-inch touchscreen display that can deliver a FWVGA (854 ×480 pixels) resolution.

Moreover, Ascend Y600 should be able to provide users with pretty decent performance capabilities, courtesy of a 1.3 GHz dual-core MediaTek (MT6572) processor packed inside it.

The mobile phone also arrives on shelves with a Mali 400 GPU next to the aforementioned processor, as well as with 512MB of RAM.

Moreover, the handset will feature 4GB of internal memory but will also provide users with the possibility to expand it by up to 32GB, courtesy of an included microSD memory card slot.

The same as the Huawei Ascend G730, the Ascend Y600 will be released in India with dual-SIM capabilities packed inside, as well as with dual-standby functionality.

Moreover, it will also arrive with a 5-megapixel camera on its back, as well as with a VGA front camera, so as to allow users to both record videos while on the go, and to making video calls at ease.

Huawei Ascend Y600 is powered by a 2100mAh battery and lands on shelves with support for 3G HSPA+ networks, as well as with the usual Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, and GPS receiver.

The mobile phone measures 144.5 x 74.5 x 10.8mm and weighs 180 grams, while running under the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system, with the Huawei Emotion UI loaded on top.

As mentioned above, despite the fact that it has unveiled the pricing for the new device, Huawei still hasn’t announced an official release date for it, so stay tuned to learn more on the matter.
