The smartphone ships with Android 2.3 Gingerbread onboard

Chinese handset maker Huawei is about to debut another budget-friendly Android smartphone in India, the Ascend Y210D.

According to AndroidOS, the handset is expected to arrive at major retailers across the country, including Saholic and Flipkart, on February 28.

Customers in India will be able to purchase the Huawei Ascend Y210D for only Rs 4,999 outright, which is about $90 or €70.

The Ascend Y210D will ship with Android 2.3 Gingerbread out of the box. The phone is said to pack a 1GHz single-core processor, 256MB of RAM and 512MB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD memory card.

Furthermore, the smartphone sports a decent 3.5-inch HVGA capacitive touchscreen display, dual-SIM capability, 2-megapixel rear camera and 3G connectivity. Stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
