Chinese handset maker Huawei is one of the few companies that pledged commitment to Windows Phone platform even after Nokia's acquisition by Microsoft.

The company has just launched the Ascend W2 smartphone in China, but has other devices powered by Windows Phone in the pipeline.

The folks over at WMPoweruser have just published two photos leaked via Chinese blog CNbeta, which are showing the unannounced Huawei Ascend W3. The online publication claims the Ascend W3 will be released in China in two colors, namely blue and yellow.

However, it appears that the two handsets presented in these live pictures are not similar. The back of the smartphones are different and suggest that at least one of them, the yellow one, might be in fact the Ascend W2.

According to the cited source, Huawei Ascend W3 is a mid-range Windows Phone handset, which is expected to be officially announced in early 2014 at CES. Stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
