Huawei Ascend W2, the latest Windows Phone 8 smartphone from the Chinese mobile phone maker, is expected to become available for purchase in India in the near future.

The company has officially confirmed the availability of the device in Russia and the Netherlands starting with November this year, and also said that users in India would receive it soon, but it did not offer further details on the matter.

The Windows Phone 8 smartphone was unveiled a while ago with a 4.3-inch WVGA (800×400 pixels) display and a 1.4GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor inside, as BGR.in reports.

It is targeted at the entry-level market, with 512MB of RAM inside, 8GB of internal memory, and a 5-megapixel camera on the back. The mobile phone is powered by a 1700mAh battery and offers access to 7GB of free SkyDrive cloud storage, the same as all Windows Phone 8 devices.
