The handset should sport a price tag of €199.95 ($273)

Ascend W1, the Windows Phone 8-based smartphone that Chinese mobile phone maker Huawei made official at the 2013 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in early January, is expected to become available for purchase in Germany before the end of this month.

In fact, a recent article on WPArea suggests that the handset might arrive on shelves in the country as soon as next week.

As WPCentral notes, the device already emerged on the website of various retailers in the country, with a price tag of around €199.95 ($273) attached to it.

Ascend W1 sports a 4-inch 800 x 480 pixel screen, a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 512MB of RAM, and 4GB of internal memory, with a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes.

The phone also features a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back, and a 1950mAh battery inside.
