Today, Huawei has finally decided to take the wraps off its Huawei Ascend P7, after the handset was rumored to arrive in the beginning of this year, at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

However, although it went official several months later, the Ascend P7 still comes with all the features and capabilities that it was rumored to sport and should easily prove a great option for many users out there.

The phone sports a design similar to that of Ascend P6 last year, but with a larger 5-inch touchscreen display capable of offering a full HD resolution. The panel delivers a 445ppi pixel density, as Pocket-lint notes.

The rest of the handset’s hardware specifications have been buffed as well, so as to deliver a better overall experience to all those who will purchase it.

The new smartphone arrives on shelves with an aluminum frame, as well as with Gorilla Glass 3 protection for both the front and back panels.

As expected, the new device will land on shelves with Huawei’s own quad-core HiSilicon Kirin 910T chipset inside, clocked at 1.8GHz, as well as with Mali 450 graphics attached to it.

Moreover, it has been announced with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory, as well as with a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 64GB of external storage.

As mentioned above, Huawei Ascend P7 comes with support for 4G LTE networks, though its connectivity capabilities also include Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capabilities, along with built-in GPS receiver.

On the back, the phone sports a 13-megapixel camera from Sony, complemented by an 8-megapixel front camera for taking high-quality selfies and for a great video chatting experience while on the go. The front sensor features an f/2.4 aperture, a 1.4-micrometre pixel size and a 5-piece lens.

Huawei Ascend P7 runs under the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system right from the start, with Huawei’s Emotion UI 2.3 loaded on top.

"Huawei's relentless commitment to developing premium quality smartphones over the past three years has paid off. We are now ranked number three globally in terms of smartphone shipments, and our brand recognition is growing steadily in key regions such as China and Western Europe," Richard Yu, Huawei CEO, says.

"Today, the launch of Huawei Ascend P7 once again challenges existing industry standards by redefining smartphone design, camera experience, and connectivity, to provide people with an unprecedented mobile experience."

The new Huawei smartphone is set to arrive on the market in June, with UK already confirmed to receive it. Unfortunately, the company has not announce a price tag for the device as of now.

This Huawei device is set to arrive on the market in black, white, and pink later this month. It will be priced at €449 ($625) and should reach markets in Europe, Asia, and Middle-East, including China, the UK, Germany, Italy, France, Spain, Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates.
