Today, wireless carrier Three UK officially announced the immediate availability of the Huawei Ascend P2 smartphone on its network, priced starting at £0 on the £23 ($35 / €27) Ultimate Internet 500 monthly plans.

The mobile phone was listed on the carrier’s coming soon page early last month, when it was first announced as being en route to the Three network in the UK.

Huawei Ascend P2 arrives on shelves with a 4.7-inch HD IPS touchscreen display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass, as well as with a 1.5GHz quad-core processor packed inside, and 1GB of RAM.

Furthermore, the handset sports 16GB of internal memory, a microSD memory card slot to allow users to add more storage to it, and a 2420 mAh battery that can deliver up to 767 minutes of talk time, or up to 269 hours of standby time.

The specifications list of the smartphone also includes a 13-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with support for full HD video recording, along with a 1.3MP front camera for making video calls.

Additionally, the handset sports WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity capabilities, NFC compatible with NFC tags, GPS receiver, FM Radio, support for Three’s Ultrafast network, and Dolby Mobile Plus sound.

The smartphone runs under Google’s Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system, sports a 136.2 x 66.7 x 8.4 mm body, and weighs 122 grams.

“The Ascend P2 has exceptional design, power and functionality. It enhances the quality and efficiency with which you can access and upload your mobile content, letting you make the most of our Ultrafast network,” the wireless carrier notes on its website.

Three UK made the Huawei Ascend P2 available on its The One Plan as well, starting at £26 ($39 / €30) per month, with no upfront cost. At the moment, the device is listed on the carrier’s online store as in stock, set to ship as soon as tomorrow.
