One of the biggest Android smartphones announced recently, the Huawei Ascend Mate, is now available for pre-order in China.

The handset is likely to be showcased at Mobile World Congress 2013 trade fair later this month, but it’s unclear when exactly it will go on sale.

Customers, regardless of their location, can now pre-order the Ascend Mate for only $575/€420. According to UnwiredView, depending on the country they live in, customers will have to pay a certain shipping fee. Check it out here.

Huawei Ascend Mate boasts a huge 6.1-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720 x 1280 pixels) resolution. It also packs a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor, which is complemented by 2GB of RAM.

On the back, the smartphone sports an enhanced 8-megapixel photo snapper, while on the front there’s a 1-megapixel secondary camera for video calls. More details on the phone’s specs are available here.
