Chinese mobile phone maker Huawei is getting ready for the launch of a new handset in India, in the form of Ascend G730, and the company has already unveiled the pricing that this device will feature in the country.

The Huawei Ascend G730 was made official during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, back in February, and the company has already confirmed plans to bring it to shelves in India.

However, the vendor has not provided specific info on when that might happen, and the price tag that Ascend G730 will feature in the country hasn't been known until now either.

Today, however, the phone can be seen on the company’s website with a price tag of Rs. 13,999 ($232/€167) attached to it. A release date hasn’t been unveiled as of now, but the device might be put up for sale in the next few days, as fonearena notes.

For those out of the loop, we should note that Huawei has unveiled the Ascend G730 with a large, 5.5-inch IPS touchscreen display, though capable of offering only a 960 x 540 pixels resolution.

The new mobile phone also comes to the market with a 1.3GHz quad-core processor packed inside, as well as with 1GB of RAM, which should result in appealing performance capabilities being provided to all users.

Moreover, the new device features Dual-SIM with dual standby capabilities, so that users could take advantage of its capabilities on the networks of two wireless carriers at the same time.

On the back, the Huawei Ascend G730 sports a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash, also capable of recording videos in HD resolution, complemented by a VGA front camera for making video calls while on the go.

The new smartphone also arrives in India with 4GB of internal memory, as well as with a microSD memory card slot packed inside, allowing users to add up to 32GB of external storage to it.

The new device comes with support for 3G networks, as well as with Wi-Fi b/g/n and Bluetooth connectivity capabilities. A 3.5mm audio jack, FM radio, and built-in GPS receiver with A-GPS.

The handset is powered by a 2300mAh battery, measures 151.5 x 78.3 x 9.6 mm and weighs 180 grams. The mobile phone runs under the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system, with Huawei’s own Emotion UI loaded on top.

All in all, the Huawei Ascend G730 should prove a great option for many users in India, especially courtesy of its accessible price tag and appealing hardware specs.
