Chinese handset maker Huawei is about to announce a new high-end Android smartphone, the Ascend G700. This is the first time we hear about G600’s sequel, but we suspect more details will emerge in the following weeks.

The folks over at evleaks have just published the first press photo of Huawei Ascend G700, which will probably be launched globally in a not so distant future.

Some of the phone’s specs have been leaked via Twitter user paopao0128. According to him, Huawei Ascend G700 will ship with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box.

Furthermore, the phone will be equipped with a quad-core MediaTek MT6589 processor and a LCD HD capacitive touchscreen display.

Unfortunately, there are no details on the CPU’s clock value or display size. We do know however, that two Ascend G700 models will be available on the market: W-CDMA and TD-SCDMA.
