A new Huawei smartphone has received the necessary approvals on the Chinese market, namely the Ascend G700, after being spotted online a few times before.

The handset has been spotted at the Telecommunication Equipment Certification Center MIIT in China as Huawei Ascend G700-T00, and should arrive on shelves at China Mobile in the not too distant future, GSMInsider reports.

The handset is expected to be unveiled with a 5-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering a 720p resolution, as well as with a 1.2GHz quad-core processor inside, paired with 1GB of RAM.

Furthermore, the device should sport an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, along with a 1.3MP front camera for making video calls.

The upcoming mobile phone will run under Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean right from the start, while also featuring support for GSM and TD-SCDMA networks. The handset will be launched in Black and White flavors.
