Android enthusiasts and Huawei fans alike rejoice, as Ascend G510 and Ascend Y300 smartphones are now available for purchase in India.

Both smartphones went on pre-order earlier this month, but none of the retailers confirmed when exactly they would go on sale.

Today, AndroidOS reports that customers can purchase the Ascend G510 and Ascend Y300 via numerous major retailers across the country.

The cheapest of the two, Huawei Ascend Y300 costs only Rs 7,980 ($145/€110) outright. Those who can afford it can pick the Huawei Ascend G510 instead for which they have to pay Rs 10,990 ($200/€155) off contract.

The last two additions of Huawei India's portfolio, the Ascend G510 and Y300 are powered by Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system.

However, the Ascend G510 is better featured, hence the higher price. The smartphone comes equipped with a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD memory card.

On the other hand, Huawei Ascend Y300 comes packed with a 1GHz dual-core processor, 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory that can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD memory card.

Furthermore, Huawei Ascend G510 sports a 4.5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 854 pixels resolution. The phone also features a 5-megapixel rear camera and a VGA front-facing camera for video calls.

It is also worth mentioning that the Ascend G510 is powered by a 1750 mAh Li-Ion battery, which is rated by the manufacturer for up to 340 hours of standby time or up to 5 hours of talk time.

The Ascend Y300 has a slightly smaller 4.0-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen display that supports 800 x 480 pixels resolution and 16 million colors.

The affordable phone also packs a 5-megapixel rear photo snapper, as well as a secondary VGA camera for video calls.

The device drains energy from a 1730 mAh Li-Ion battery that should provide up to 320 hours of standby time or up to 5 hours of talk time.
