One of the handsets that Chinese mobile phone maker Huawei has been long rumored to plan on releasing before the end of this year is the Huawei Ascend D3, which appears to have emerged online again in a new set of leaked photos.

Available courtesy of myDrivers and iGeeks, the aforementioned images show that the Ascend D3 might arrive on shelves with an outer design similar with that of HTC One max, though the internal circuitry will be different.

According to the available details on the hardware specs of Ascend D3, we’ll see it arriving on shelves with a 5-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering a full HD resolution.

The mobile phone is also said to be powered by an octa-core Kirin 920 processor that is based on the ARM big.LITTLE architecture.

The smartphone also boasts very narrow bezels, along with a metallic design, while expected to arrive on shelves with a fingerprint scanner on the back, due to the fact that it shows an opening in the back cover just below the camera.

Although the Ascend D3 name emerged online a few times before, no official confirmation on it has been provided as of now. However, rumor has it that we’ll see the device announced sometime in September, maybe during the IFA 2014 show in Berlin, so stay tuned.
