You won't get top-notch hardware, but what you pay for is more than worth it

Apple managed to set the price of tablets high, and it even held it up there for a while, at the $500 / 470 Euro mark. That didn't stop the Chinese from making slates that are actually cheap though.

Right now we get to look at the A10, a 7-inch small wonder made by Shenzen-based manufacturer HuaYi.

Powered by a 1 GHz Cortez A8 single-core processor, it has 512 MB of RAM, 4 GB of NAND Flash memory and a 7-inch screen with a resolution of 800 x 480.

The resolution is a bit low, true, but it wasn't so long ago that 1,024 x 768 was normal on PC monitors, so it's a fair trade.

In addition to this, a 1.3 mp camera, Wi-Fi and an HDMI output are built into the item, along with a microSD card slot.

As for software, Android 4.0.3 is ready to take your order for as long as that 3,600 mAh battery can last.

The tablet was launched in China, but we hope it will come to Europe and the US eventually. That $65 / 51 Euro price is really attractive. Yes, you read that figure right, and we can safely say this is no Aakash that can be lambasted.
