Howard Stern has put his foot in his mouth again but, this time, he’s actually sorry about the mishap. The radio personality has apologized to Lena Dunham of “Girls,” swearing that his earlier comments were taken out of context.

Check out the video above for Stern’s apology, of sorts.

“It makes me feel bad and I think she is getting the impression that I somehow think she’s just a talentless little fat chick,” he says, adding that the entire controversy was a hatchet job where his words were twisted to mean something he never meant to say.

Speaking of which, his comments came right before Lena’s big Golden Globes wins over the weekend, and they more than made it clear that he believed her an attention hog who “looks a little like Jonah Hill” and likes to take her clothes off a little too much.

“I learned that this little fat chick writes the show and directs the show and that makes sense to me because she's such a camera hog that the other characters barely are on,” he said.

“My opinion, if I was a producer on that, I'd say, ‘Honey, you're a little too close to the project. You need to allow the other characters to breathe a little and let us get invested in them.’ Good for her. It's hard for little fat chicks to get anything going,” Stern added.

He did not know that Lena is also a producer on “Girls.”

Either way, no harm no foul because Lena has already said that anyone is entitled to their opinion, and she would not even dream of holding a grudge on Stern for speaking his mind.
