As part of its TV Everywhere campaign, NBCUniversal is announcing that on February 1, consumers will be able to enjoy 11 hours of streaming without having to log in. Dubbed Super Stream Sunday, the event will include Super Bowl XLIX, some Katy Perry air time, and more.

Super Bowl XLIX is an upcoming American football game between the New England Patriots (an AFC champion) and the Seattle Seahawks (an NFC champion) to decide the National Football League (NFL) champion for last year’s season.

Scheduled to be played on February 1, 2015, at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, the game will kick off at 4:30pm MST (6:30pm EST/23:30 UTC).

As part of NBC’s announcement, all you need to watch it is the NBC Sports Live Extra app for your iOS / Android / Windows Phone device. Desktop users are told to visit NBCSports.com/liveextra.

Experiencing TV Everywhere

NBCUniversal's Alison Moore said, "Super Stream Sunday’ builds off of NBCUniversal’s commitment to create broader TV Everywhere opportunities for our consumers. We are leveraging the massive digital reach of the Super Bowl to help raise overall awareness of TV Everywhere by allowing consumers to explore our vast TVE offering with this special one-day-only access.”

Immediately following the Super Bowl, NBC will also stream the first episode of its two-episode midseason premiere of The Blacklist. NBC Sports Live Extra was the first app of its kind to ever live-stream a Super Bowl in 2012, but this is the first time the app offers live streaming of NBC’s Super Bowl halftime show. As we get closer to the game itself, more details regarding Super Bowl pre-game coverage will be released, NBC said.
