Every mobile has a predefined number of SMS messages it can store in its default memory. All data sheets of mobile phones will only present the total number of these SMSs; unless you know how that phone allocates its SMS memory in different folders, you won't be able to use it at its full capacity.

Basically, a standard handset can store up to 500 SMS messages in its memory, but you will probably get the "Full memory" message when you reach about 200 messages stored in your Inbox folder.

The main issue is the fact that your phone allocates only 200 SMS to your inbox folder, 50 SMS for Drafts folder, 50 SMS to Outbox folder and 200 SMS to Sentbox. You won't be able to store over the 200 SMS share in the Inbox no matter what you will do, but there's a trick you can use to be able to store 50 more SMSs into your phone. I know it's not much, but at least you can use a little part of what the manufacturer should have provided you with.

Following this guide, you will be able to store some of your Inbox SMS in the Draft folder. This means that you will barely use this folder for other means than storing. All you have to do is select a message from your Inbox folder you want to store and then click on the Forward option. Afterwards, click on the soft key to bring up the Options menu and click Save to Drafts.

The process takes about 5-6 seconds and might become annoying in case you want to transfer lots of SMS. As there are no multiple selection options, you will have to manually transfer your messages into the Draft folder. Don't forget that your messages also remain in the Inbox folder, so you will have to delete them after you have made the transfer.
