WildCharge Inc. is planning to release a charging pad that works for virtually any device and can be placed anywhere, in the hope to eliminate the bulky chargers and power adapters that the user needs for recharging various electronic devices.

Although reported to be wire-free, it is not entirely wireless, considering the fact that the WildCharger has a power adapter connected to one edge, therefore needing to be connected to a power source by a cord.

But keeping in mind that more devices can be charged on this pad at the same time, it's better to have one wire than several wires for each device in order to charge them and you don't need to keep all those bulky chargers for every device that can prove to be very space consuming at times.

The WildCharger can work with mobile phones, portable music players, PDA's or laptop computers and can reportedly recharge any of these devices wirelessly.

The only thing the user needs to do is place the devices on the pad to wirelessly absorb electricity. Although there's a big chance that you will probably not be able to use the mobile phone while it's charging, since it has to stay put on the mat, this fact is pretty much insignificant considering the fact that it works for several types if not for all portable electronic devices and can charge more than one handset at the same time.

The WildCharger will be showcased at the Consumer Electronics Show 2007 in Las Vegas and is reported to become available in January. There is no official information on the price, although rumor has it that the price tag will be somewhere between $40 and $100.
