Short guide to switch to bold text, making everything more readable

iOS 7 undoubtedly has its perks, but boy is it hard to read the text in some areas. If you concur, here’s a handy tip to make text more readable.

As part of the whole iOS 7 redesign, Apple thought it would be nice to make text just as flat and minimalistic as the rest of the graphics, a change applauded by some, but berated by others.

If you’re not too fond of the new narrow font, there’s a quick and easy fix to this. Simply launch the Settings app, go to General, then Accessibility and look for Bold Text. Switch it on and reboot your device when prompted.

The reboot time takes a few seconds, as the OS doesn’t fully shut down, but rather just resets the font. You won’t be asked to punch in your PIN code either.
