Do you love that new song you just heard on the radio or saw on TV? Get it in iTunes and you are going to pay $1.29 (€0.96). If you follow these steps, you can get the same track via iTunes for as low as 90 cents (67 euro cents). It is totally legal and it has something to do with pre-ordering new albums.

Here is how this works. Some of the big names in music will promote their new or future albums in iTunes by releasing one or two songs. You can get those right away for $1.29 (€0.96).

On the other hand, iTunes promotes certain albums even before they are out. Some of them will be available for pre-order six months in advance. You will recognize these albums by their orange price tag. Click on it and you are able to preorder the whole album.

As usual, you may get a lower price if you pre-order it than the actual final price. It is a little known fact that if you pre-order the whole album you can actually get those $1.29 (€0.96) songs right now. You pay the full price of the album, which is anything from $7.99  (€5.97) to $19.99 (€14.93). So that makes the price of the song you want to be cheaper in the long run.

Let's take Maroon's 5 new album "V" for example. This will only be released in September of 2014. The album has 14 tracks and you can pre-order it for $12.99 (€9.70). However, two of the most appreciated hits on this album – "Maps" and "It Was Always You" – are available and can be bought for $1.29 (€0.96). If you pre-order all 14 songs, you get these two for just 0.92 (€0.69).

One other advantage of getting the whole album is that when Maroon 5 releases new songs before September 2014, they are automatically downloaded to your computer or iOS device.

The AppStore editors have created a new Selection of albums that are available for pre-order. There are 21 albums right now coming from huge artists and bands like Tim McGraw, Fences, Lenny Kravitz, or a live Queen album that is expected next month.

On the same list you will find 35 new songs that are up in the music charts along with some rising stars that you will probably see on TV in the coming weeks and months.
